Windows 7 Extreme Edition R1 32 Bit Product Key
I bought my HP G60 laptop at a pawn shop (which I know used is a problem in a self, but I'm dealing with that part of it) and Windows Vista had been replaced with Windows 7 Ultimate. Or as it turns out Windows 7 Extreme Edition R1. I like to install my updates from windows automatically but it's turning out to be more of a pain to do so as most will fail until I run the fix it tool, and that even fails on occasion because the updates simply don't apply to the version I'm running.
Unfortunately, I've yet to find the site where I can get updates automatically that do pertain to my system. I've had my laptop for almost a year now and it's been through tech sites and trouble shooting that I've been able to get just about everything else on my system to work the way I want it to. I've checked and made sure that I have genuine windows with valid product id, and it's all authenticated.
Apr 06, 2011 # This windows is Based on Windows 7 Ultimate RTM 64bit version. # This copy will be activated within installation, you can update your windows using?Windows Update? Without any problem # Software included are full version and uninstallable, mean you can uninstall it if you don?t want them.
My question(s) is: 1) is there any way to get windows to send only the updates that will work for this edition? 2) Is there a site I don't know about where I can check and make sure I'm keeping my system secure? I'd appreciate any tips any of you might have. I'm not a programmer or developer, but I'm capable of following directions, would rather not use ms-dos or have to get too deep in the system. Like I said, I'm not a pro by any means, and I'd rather not play 'delete queen' or add new commands if it's not necessary. However I also can not afford to take this to a shop nor go buy another one.
I just want to prevent problems that are bound to eventually cause instability if I don't deal with it now. Thank you all in advance (and in hopes) for your replies.
